I purchased my first bow ever based on this report. Fred Bear Instinct. Love it.

Does anyone else have any experience with the Instinct? I am currently in the market for a new bow and I'm trying to make a decision. It seems that according to this report, the Fred Bear Instinct is a decent bow for the economically challanged.

Thoughts?

I put an STS on mine and it is super quiet. The only problem I have had is that I am getting some wear on the cable serving where it enters the lower cam. I have under 500 shots on it. The company states this is not normal and to return to the shop to get it fixed. I am waiting till the season is over before I do that.

The instince is a fantastic bow. Especially when you consider the price tag.

Also shoot the Code. It is even better than the instinct in all respects. Smoother, faster, and quieter.

I have the Bear Element. It's my fist year with a bow and didn't want to break the bank. Now that I've learned more about the sport I see very few guys with Bear bows... why is that? I had a couple of more experienced guys shoot my bow (Matthews & Hoyt owners) and they were impressed with the Element.

It doesn't look as cool as some other bows out there, I'll give you that.

This makes me want to buy a bowtech even more. The switchback xt is a great shooting bow but I want a great shooting bow that is also FAST.
