Since this is the internet.....and I feel the need to express my macho side and not feel inferior for shooting at a poundage that diminishes my manhood.....I'll come clean and report that while my manly self is QUITE capable of pulling a poundage in excess of 239lbs........

Mine was originally 65#'s. The bow shop bumped it to 70#'s when we were setting it up. Then realized I wasn't as steady at 70# as I should be. So, we both decided to back it off a bit to where I'm comfortable and steady, and the bow will still have the best speed, K/E, etc... Long story short, the bow is at 68#'s and that's where it will stay.

im shooting 67 now..ill bump it upto 70 in the spring though. i just dont see a reason NOT to shoot it at 70. i went down to 60 and didnt like it because it felt light and i was unsteady. seems i hold steadier when im holding a little more back..i dont know. but 3lbs wont bother me none..at 75% let off its only 18lbs to hold back roughly. and at 67 i have no problem drawing straight back. not like the guys on TV drawing from the sky..gotta laugh when i see them trying to muscle back their bows!
i do agree..well placed shots and sharp heads kill deer..but KE and speed help when you misjudge range(speed) or make a bad hit or hit heavy bone that extra umph might make a diffrence(ke) if someones capable of shooting well at 70+ i see no reason to shoot lighter...
