everyone is so skeptical because the druries and the primos gang make it sound like the bucks just decided to start growling last year and amazingly they both have it on video.however, i believe in the call. i've heard too many good stories about it. i'm fed up with my true talker too many fawn bleats when i'm trying to do buck grunts. i'm picking up the mad version.
It does look like that, but I saw the Primos team on t.v. talking about the buck roar and how they all have heard it but thought it was either something else or they tried to mimic it with a grunt tube and it sounded like a duck. Who knows. If it works, wonderful! I just wouldn't overuse it and educate the deer.

Its best never to over use any call no matter it be a grunt, bleet, weeze, snort, ratlin antlers etc.

Thanks for the tip...I for one enjoy using different calls, scents and decoys. It adds another dimension to the hunt...I have killed several bucks using Tinks 69...A few years back I mentioned my technique to a couple of hunters, they tried it and evidently it spooked some does (I have seen this happen as well) at any rate, they swore that I handed them some bum advice...Nothing is 100% when whitetail hunting (unless you are Jimmy Houston)....I might have to try the buck roar as well....Thanks and Good Luck...

I've been thinking about getting the buck growl. I have the H.S. EEZE WHEEZE. In the DVD that comes with it they say that it may scare off smaller bucks. It's no lie. I used it on a little seven point that was hanging around my stand and he never ever looked up. He just took off over the hill.

It's all hype. ....and most of the people that have been on the internet pushing them work for a call company or have a friend that does or something. It's all poppy cock.

I am in no way affiliated with MAD Calls or the Drurys in anyway. Im an average hunter. I bought this call from my local proshop after I watched the video online. Some can believe what they want, I now know from experience that this call works and sure it will work better once the rut hits. I have 100% confidence in this call.

You know whats funny... The BUCK GROWL.. its all marketing.. Why did all these companies all of a sudden come out with this particular grunt call this year? Oh thats right, Bucks just decided to start Growling last year.. They never did it before..

So does it really work ?

Why did they just come out with it? I guess they needed something new to sell...
Bucks have been growling since god created deer. I'm surprised this hasn't come out before. I've heard deer make all kinds of insane noises. The growl is something I've heard as well.

What I will give you is that it's sad that they had to come out with a "specifically designed" call. You can do a growl with you regular grunt tube. I do it all the time. It works great, and I love it, but i've done it for a few years on my own, after my brother told me he tried calling like that and it worked. I've seen some good results.

I have never heard one growl but my dad did. He had no idea what it was either.....they had out buck aggressor scent and it pissed this monster off.....he came out into the cut corn field, growling and looking for a fight......too bad my dad was on the other side of the field and couldn't get a shot.....
