Do the viper's pack like this one...my Bullet Backpacker Summit?? I know the older ones don't.

No, the Viper and Goliath don't fold flat like the bullet/broadhead backpacker type of Summit stands. No biggie, they just stick out a little in the back.

I had my wife come out & take pictures of me using my Summit Razor the first time in my yard. She got a kick out of it & I explained how the saftey system works for her peace of mind. Always photocopy out a map to show her exactly where you'll be, even show spots 1,2,3 ect.. in case they're occupied once you get there in the morning...

USE the Ambilical tether!! Lets just say, it's saved me from my own stupidity..

And, a tip is, You can rotate around the tree as you climb up, so a not perfectly straight tree can still be good for your stand, and always set up on the opposite or off trail side of the tree from where you expect to see deer coming from, to use the tree trunk to break up your outline..
