I live in Champaign and just curious if it would be worth a weekend trip to hunt the Ray Norbut State park? I am imagining a tree stand every 20 yards or so. Is it over run with hunters? ANY info will be greatfull. Thanks

I live in Champaign county - with so many great places to hunt around here, why would you want to go to Pike?

Maybe the allure of Pike Co.?

He may just want to see new parts of IL.

i want to book a hunt out to Ill maybe next year for an archery hunt around the rut , maybe ill look at the sportmans show this feb. and see some prices. i dont want to go to a ranch or nething fenced , id even be happy gettin permission on some land somehow and just buyin a tag and puttin in my own legwork.

Nobody on here that's been to this State park?

I live about 15 minutes from there but I don't know anything about it. I stick to private land
