Not red chiggers small black ticks or at least that's what they look like under a magnifiying glass. If you get in them, you can see them crawling by the 100's on your boots and pant legs. Thanks I will try the nylon's does this work well? Nothing to do with bowhunting... Then no, you haven't encountered these.

Seed ticks, all of them up here have died. Where are you from? They are nasty little buggers.

They were here in Louisiana when I was a boy, you could actually smell them. though I havnt seen them in years. Ticks all but dissapeared in this area but they are back and I think its due to the hot weather and the woods not getting burned like they used to.
Seed ticks are bad to the bone.

Treat your boots and pant legs with Permanone before going out , it will kill them before they get a chance to get to you .

Yuck! I haven't had to deal with any of that kind of crap... and hope I don't.

I can't stand ticks, they are just as bad a spiders to me (and for me, that's BAD). I wear Alpha Burly boots though, up to my knees, so I don't know if that helps or not??? We may just not have them here too. Either way, man, I hope you get it figured out, what an inconvenience.
