SEED TICKS,TURKEY MITES WHAT ARE THEY?

[:@]Where I hunt everytime I go out I get covered with 100's of little ticks or mites I'm not sure what they are but they get all around my ankles and waist, they are very small but bad little dude's. Do you guys have this problem if so what do you do? we've had 3 good frosts and I got covered up again today help...

Not red chiggers small black ticks or at least that's what they look like under a magnifiying glass. If you get in them, you can see them crawling by the 100's on your boots and pant legs. Thanks I will try the nylon's does this work well? Nothing to do with bowhunting... Then no, you haven't encountered these.

They were here in Louisiana when I was a boy, you could actually smell them. though I havnt seen them in years. Ticks all but dissapeared in this area but they are back and I think its due to the hot weather and the woods not getting burned like they used to.

Yuck! I haven't had to deal with any of that kind of crap... and hope I don't.
I can't stand ticks, they are just as bad a spiders to me (and for me, that's BAD). I wear Alpha Burly boots though, up to my knees, so I don't know if that helps or not??? We may just not have them here too. Either way, man, I hope you get it figured out, what an inconvenience.
