Yeah... I got kicked out of BED this morning!!! I finally had a good day to sleep in, daughter didn't have school, so no getting her on the bus... I was excited. I even stayed up an hour and a half later on here last night because I *knew* I could sleep in.

Yah. Right. I was sawing logs when hubby came home from work at 5:30am, and I hear, "Honey, Honey.....??" I was barely awake and I very quietly answered in a cautiously hesitant tone (you just never know with him lol) and he says, "Honey, are you awake?" I say, "I am now, what?" He's like, you have to get out of bed. I thinking, why in the HECK would I want to get out of bed at 5:30am when I can sleep as late as I want? He says, "You have to go hunting." I was thinking he had lost his mind. I am going, no I don't, I have to sleep. I've only been asleep 4 hours now and I am not getting out of bed. He says, "It's cold outside, you have to get up and go." Even MORE reason to stay in bed on this beautiful (yeah right) Friday morning.

I just laid there. 5 minutes later, "Honey... ?" "WHAT!?" "You have to get up, you have to go hunting this morning, you are going to shoot a deer, it's perfect outside." I didn't answer... 2 minutes later. "Honey, get out of bed." ARGH!!! At this point, I am not going back to sleep even if I *want* to... he starts shakin' my arm... get up Honey. ARGH AGAIN! After 15 minutes of this, I finally say, Shane, it's going to be 30mph winds today, I'm not driving 45 minutes to blow out of my stand. He says, I just came home from work, it's perfectly calm, 5mph winds maybe. I realized I wasn't getting out of it, or at least if I did, I wouldn't be falling back asleep at this point anyway. I still tried... I haven't laid out any warm clothes, I don't know where half of them are. He's like, I'll get them, you just get out of bed.

Long story as short as possible, as I left, he says, "You will shoot something today." I said, " And if it isn't a deer, you better be hiding when I get home, because it's gonna be YOUR head mounted on my wall."

I didn't see a single deer, didn't even kick any up on the way out.... I have been out 5 times now, each and every time I have at LEAST kicked a deer up... not this time. I sat for about an hour until I couldn't handle the wind anymore, it was at 25mph at the time... Sheesh. He cracks me up sometimes.

So, as soon as he gets out of bed... TARGET PRACTICE!!! LOL [8D]

i too could slept in ALL day...needed to actually...but like your hubby..i thought it would be a good day with the cold weather. boyyyy was i wrong. they didnt mention the gale force winds 25 foot high..tree is atleast 16 inches thick and it was swaying. never have i had a tree that thick and sturdy sway. the wind just got worse all day. i sat till about 9. im proud of myself for lasting THAT long. boy that wind can cut someone in half..AND i was DRESSED for it!! insulated bibs..GOOD underlayer, coat, good boot, gloves and a winter hat! before the sun came up i was shivering. toes frozen from sitting on the metal stand, fingers burning, arms cold from leaning on the metal stand...man i hope the wind dies..i am heading out for the evening later..but man i hope the wind stops..i would been alright if the wind wasnt like it was..i DID kick one out on the way in. i knew they would bed where i kicked it out from..but every other day i never had one come out of there..

I, right now, am L'ing MAO at that story!!!!!!!! That is just too funny!! He wanted you out of bed so he could have it to himself!! That's great!! OMG....my gut hurts....

That sounds sorta familiar though. I took the day off work today to sit in my stand. I checked the weather last evening and it said 20-30 mph winds. So, like you, I stayed up late so I could sleep in. YEAH, RIGHT! The wife and kids got up for work and school. SHEESH! You would think they would just stay in bed so I could sleep, ya know? I mean good grief.....who needs to go to work or school anyway??? [&:][&:]

Oh, the best part.......It is DEAD CALM out there right now. Wind hasn't blown a bit, and I stayed in bed because it was SUPPOSE to be windy today.......That does it! From now on, I am my own weather man!!

Honey, tomorrow morning, when I wake up to go hunt.....I'll try not to wake you. Please don't shoot me when I get home....[8D]

Yeah, I stayed up there til about 8:20, I was outta there. I get to the car and my phone has 3 text messages on it... First one: C any? Second one: U ok? Third one: Stephanie, Honey, I'm extremely worried about you, please answer me...

I get my phone out, it's practically frozen up from the cold temps, it's seriously delayed in any command I give it... won't send a mesg when I try. Finally I get one to go through... WHAT?! I'm fine, I can't feel my phone vibrate with 5 layers of clothes on! LOL, he's like, Oh good, you almost gave me a heartattack. Well sheesh... If I woulda sat up there any longer, I woulda got blown BACK into my stand every time I tried to climb out! LOL

Next mesg: Where u at? Answer: On my way home, had to get down, wind blowing TOO HARD! Next Mesg: Sorry, it was calm when I got off work

I'm tellin' ya, I'm gonnabeat him when he gets outta bed! LOL

Seriously though, I know he feels really bad that he kicked me out of bed only to drive 45 minutes to sit for 45 minutes and leave. lol... I bet that's the last time he kicks me out of bed!
