Default Noobie

Hey guys and gals,

Im pretty new to huntingnet.com but I seem to be using it more and more. Mostly to find outfitters. I recently picked up on some cheap south texas hunting. I dunno how they will do I need to call em up and give em a try in a year or two. Any way the story goes like this I see an average of 7 deer an outing and I have been every Sat. and Sun. morning since season opened and here in TN it opened on Sept. 23. I've had 2 shots one on a doe at 25 yards (Deflected, bad angle) and another on a doe at 36 yds. I passed on the second shot. And I've only seen one buck a spike. But I have explored my hunting area a little more and have a better handle on where the does are so come the middle of November I will know where the bucks are going to be. And this is my first year hunting this place. Anyway thats enough of that. Oh I just got back from a outfitted hunt with IMB outfitters, we hunted the opening weekend in Missouri.

Missouri was sweet dude. We hunted around in Shelby County Northeast MO. I had a 150 class 11 pt. about 25 yards from my stand I just couldnt get an arrow to him. One of my friends had 4 shot opportunities but he did the stupid thing and too a minute to think instead of took a minute to aim. He thought they would come in closer but when you have a shot at a 160 class 8pt. You take it. Because that a big ole deer. Anyway No kills on that trip. I did however have an eight point about 14 in. spread and a six point walk right under my stand I was about 10ft off the ground and sniff the flagging directly under me. I could have shot the eight pt.759,000,001 times but he was just too small. He might have went 105 inches. Limit was 120 inches. But I had a great time. It was worth the money I think, enough though I didnt kill anything.
