It is stronger than 2x4's I guarantee it, They are probably as big around as 4x4's but are really light...

No it's not. Strong and light don't belong in the same sentence when talking about wood. Take a live sassafrass(sp?)limb and a live pine limb, see which one you can break in your hand the easiest. Sassafrass makes a good tea, but a poor choice for a ladder IMO.

well i have made plenty of them to know that they do, so regardless what you say I am still going to use it cause i know from experience it will work. I am not talking about limbs either..

I use a ladder stand for most of my hunting. They are home made and are about 15 feet tall.

I like them more than hang ons just because I feel more safe. Not a big fan of heights. I think they are also easier to put up. Also I keep mine up year round and the deer dont seem to mind them at all. Just watch your scent and your movement and youll be fine.
