Default Montecs, Wow

I have been looking a long time for a replacement for the Rocky Mountain Ironhead 125 head that I have shot for many years. Sadly these heads are no longer being produced It is a tall order to live up to the durability, accuracy and reliability I have come to expect from shooting such a great head. In my search I have been torn bewteen the Montec and Snuffer SS head, as luck would have it I won a few Montecs off ebay to try out. I must say I am very impressed with every aspect of this head. From it's simple design to it's great flight, well... I am hooked. I sharpened them up today after quite a bit of shooting and found the Arkansas stones makes them quite sharp. A few strokes on the strop and they will shave hair! Sorry for the rant, but if anybody is looking for a quality head look no further!

I'm a believer as well, I've shot through a shoulder blade and it didn't even bend it.

I have not shot them myself but I know several guys who have / do and they swear by them, and they have no intention of changing.

Just wondering do they make noise like everyone says that they do? If they do how loud it it...

i changed from the ironhead to the montec a couple of years ago. the montec is one tough head. the only problem i have ever had with them is the head not being sharp out of the pack.....you need to sharpen them before you hunt with them....they fly great, and are almost bulletproof. i have harvested several deer with the same broadhead and arrow, just spin check them, if the spin good, clean, sharpen, reinstall, and hunt again....much more durable than a replaceable blade head.

No, they make no noise. Yes, they are great heads. They fly great, even supersonic.
