The other guys gave some advice about tuning. Now I'llpick on ya, This is why you don't wait till the last minute to shoot broadheads. You should have done this a month ago, got them shooting well, and put them away with new blades on them. Then the bow/arrow combination would have been ready for the woods.

To tune your set up, Follow this url - http://www.eastonarchery.com/downloads.asp

Paper tuning only shows that you're in the ball park as far as tune. It's just the first step in tuning your bow.

Paper tune with a bare shaft at about 6-9 ft. This will tell you your proper nock set placement and rest position. you'll want to achieve a bullet hole in this process.

Afterwards, sight in your fletchedarrows w/fp'sat 20 yards. Shoot several groups for consistancy and mark those poi's on the target. Next comes the broadhead. Make sure prior to shooting your bh's that they spin true. Shoot your bh's at the same group that you've just marked on the target from shooting the field points earlier.

Follow the instructions in the tuning guideto a T and you'll see that your bh's will converge into your fp group.

Do a walk back tune to reallyfine tune your set up. Shooting bh's at the same spot/group walk back to 30 yds, using only your 20 yd pin. Your shots will hit lower. Mark that group. Make the necessary adjustments to your nockset or/and rest according to the poi. Move back to 40 yds and do the same thing.

All of your groups should follow a vertical line downward. This will show you that your set up is spot on.

BTW - prior to doing the walk back with bh's, shoot your field pts at the walk back distances. This will show you how much the bh is effecting arrow flight and how important it is to properly tune your set up.

Do yourself a favor by properly tuning your set up. It's the difference between poor shot placement, ineffective penetration, and easily recovering the game you shoot.

Ultimately it's your choice. Make a good one, you'll never regret it.

went to the bow shop this morning they looked the bow over paper tested it and everything was good. He said the 125 grain Muzzy's were probably too much for carbons put me on some sonic 100 grains heads and match the blades to the fletching and I was back to shooting tight groups. with both broadhead and fields, just need to adjust the site a little bit and I'm good.

YEAH!!!

Glad to hear it's all good.

I was shooting last night and saw that one strand of my control cable was just about broken. I almost lost sleep over it. Ordering a new control cable tonite. Whip it on, shoot about 10 arrows, double check timing, make any adjustments to the cable that is needed and then back in the saddle again.

Bitter/sweet.

I am shooting the Tekan Expandables this sesson . I removed the bleeder blades on one and put extra washers on to bring the weight up to 100 grains . They are shooting fine . What I did sure beats the heck out of trying to pull one of those blades out of my target !
