I always air-dry my hunting clothes. If you use a dryer make sure your wife doesn't slip in one of those scented static cling sheets.
Tell me about it!

She did that to me last year. Not only did she put some foofy girly smelling dryer sheets in my hunting laundry, she but a cup of "Snuggle" fabric softener in the wash!

While we're on the subject of washing, how about washing soft gear?

I put my harness in the wash with the rest of the stuff, along with my harness bag, straps, fanny pack, back pack, turkey vest, and even my tree stand seats to get the farts out of them.

I found a mesh bag and I throw some of the "Strappy" stuff in there so they don't get all tangled up in the spin cycle.

Wash 'em in a scent free soap. Hang dry outside.

I use the 18 gallon totes to pack my hunting clothes and stretch a plastic lawn bag over top before putting the lid on the totes.

This summer I bought a used washer and dryer to set up my own laundry in the basement just for my hunting clothes. I got tired of waiting for the main wash machine and then the smell of fabric softener in the dryer when the weather wouldn't permit air drying. This way I will run my clothes through the wash on a more regular basis.

Happy Hunting
