I usually like to eat steak and potatoes. Sometimes just snack food, depends on the mood.

since i walk a good distance into the woods, i usually pack enough for a whole day just in case - no going back to camp for me. water, power aid, chocolate, thick virginia ham sadwich on an onion roll or bagel, fresh picked apples from a local orchard. seems like a lot but sitting on stand from dusk till dawn in freezing temps makes me hungry.

I usually have a an nice meal when i get back to camp after morning hunts and after evening hunts. During the rut tho i usually have a nice ham and cheese sandwich, with some gatorade, and some beef jerky. I have to have a lot of food cuz i stay out in the woods during the rut from sun up to sun down.

When hunting, I try to be one with the animal. I snack on little pieces of bark, the occasional acorn, tasty soybeans and of course, corn. I get my water from a stream or pond. Then I might even bed down for a while on a small knoll in the sunlight.

I don't eat anything. I usually have a lite breakfast and some water before I go out. I don't drink anything in the stand either. I have what my friends describe as a micro-bladder and I don't want to have to take a piss in the middle of a hunt.

I would imagine with Elk or something where it was an all day hunt, I would bring granola and water.

usually nothing but sometimes a power bar. I will only take them during my heavy weeks of hunting. I'll hunt both morning and night stands then and very little work (don't tell my boss). If the weather is bad, I just go into the office that day. To keep up the pace I find the power bars are quick and easy.
