Deer Cane? 1 or 2 piles
#1
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to make one big pile containing the whole bag or if you could succesfully mix a few little piles.. Has anyone tried mixing half the bag with 3-4 gallons of water and had good results? any input appreciated

I have split a bag up like you were saying but it to "freshen" up a couple of spots already established. The bad news is that if you're just putting it out it is probably too late in the year to see it used much. I've done the same thing and didn't see it used until the next summer when scouting. When the fawns are weened and the antlers stop growing then they generally visit these sites alot less. And sometimes I think that stuff is so strong that it needs to soak in or dilute somewhat before it becomes attractive to them. Put it out but I would'nt expect too much until next spring. Just my experience, good luck.
I also want to say that I only use these spots to get alot of pics during the summer, I don't hunt over them.
