I usually huntjust outside of bedding areas but this year I'm trying a new tactic. I trimmed my way into a very large thicket where I found aspot that opens up a bit and where several trails merge. Found a great tree for my stand and cut three shooting lanes. While I'm trimming I hear some noise very close, I turn to look and see a doe with a small 6pt feeding behind her with velvet hanging off his rack.
These deer were 25ft not yrds from me! I couldn't believe they weren't spooked by the noise I was making. I believe they thought I was anotherdeer feeding. I also set my Deer Cam up and left, that was two weeks ago. Needless to say I can't wait to check it this weekend!

Food source for the first couple weeks, a couple of fall turkey hunts then start crowding buck bedding areas before moving to funnels conecting two doe bedding areas. If necessary, I'll go back to food sources. In a nutshell.
