bow only here for the last 20 odd years but do carry a back up hand gun when hunting feral pigs and have only had to use that once.

I'ma lean'n that way.

Another bow-only here. I've bowhunted through the last three rifle seasons, so I sold my 30-06 last year.

Bow only for me. I've never hunted deer with anything else. Used to hunt small game with guns, but haven't done that in 10 years. The only thing I hunt with guns now is targets! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Maybe if Primitive Arms season (ie Muzzleloader) were the same in every state as it is here in PA (Flintlock ONLY) a lot more of you would still pick up a smokepole once in a while, besides that and a few bunny hunts with my grandfather's Ithaca model 37 12 gauge that I inherited a few years ago, I'm bow only.

Absolutely 100%.

Killed a crow with a pellet rifle about 20 years ago ... no satisfaction ... no sport. I would use a gun only if I needed to hunt to survive.
