broadheads and targets
i just got 6 new muzzy MX4s. i also got the block 4x4 to shoot at. i was just wondering if the broadheads loose their sharpness from shooting at the target? i tried the practice broadheads that came with them but it seemed to kind of chew up my target.

sure will dull out. quick too. i want the sharpest blades possible if im going to hunt with a head. you can try resharpening the blades..or buy new replacement blades..but after target shooting i dont recomend hunting with that head. i bought 6 heads. i practice with only 1 though. figured if i cant see anything diffrent about the other heads they should all fly the same aand figured id dull 1 and keep 5 to hunt.

I practice with all my broadheads and shoot them alot. They do get dull but I sharpened all 6 of them in about 10 minutes last night. I use the magnus stingers and they are pretty easy to sharpen.
I use the ceramic tube from a high pressure sodium light bulb and it usually only takes about two passes on each side of the blade and they are back to being sharper than (insert your own word).

you should be able to pull the blades out and run them over a flat knife stone. personally i would buy replacement blades and save the dull ones for target practice. i have enough previously shot blades to last a few years.
