Summit and API are among the best IMO.

I own both an API Grandslam Extreme anda Summit Viper. Viper is FAR better. Much more secure, much quieter, and much more comfortable.

I've used Gorilla climbers as well, and they are pretty decent stands. Right up there in quiet, but ease of use and comfort aren't quite there.

I have a summit razor and really like it. You can fold the climbing bar under the seat and have an open front.

Summit viper classic. I picked one up for 120 at dicks.

BTW, this doesn't have anything to do w/ the topic, but does the rubber coating of the cable tend to get worn off, and if it does, does it make it loud and "clangy"?

The API bowhunter model is my choice. No rail in front to get in the way on those close shots, very stable, and the seat is comfy too. Helps me stay on stand those extra hours. Nice and lite also, can carry it with ease.

I like my summit if I'm gonna be out in the woods all day because its comfortable, but the next stand I buy will be a lone wolf--they are light and dead silent.
