How about feathers -vs- plastic? Which is better?


Feathers are far more forgiving of rest contact, slight brushes with a twig or something of that nature on the way to its intended target, and... they just plain look cooler! [8D](If you get barred feathers, that is...
)On the other hand, guys will complain that they create too much drag past like 50 yards and slow their arrows down.... (No concern to me; I'm not shooting at olympic distances), and you have to take an extra step to waterproof them in the event of hunting in a soaking rain.
There ya have it: Three pages of arguments boiled down to a couple paragraphs! [8D]

I agree, the feathers look cool. I'm going to go with a trophy taker drop rest so I might try the feathers with a right offset or helicle. I appreciate the help dudes!
