I figured this would go here in the bowhunting forum. Did antone catch bowhunter TV today? Reason I ask is there was a couple of guys on there hunting in a plains type area. These dudes were wearing deer head hats! Regular ballcaps with eyes nose and ears. They were destroying deer also! They were walking right up to them. My gosh, what do you all think about that? Good tactic? it's still on right noe on outdoor channel. Check it out before it goes off.

My god! how many of you were graced with actually catching that show? You'd have to see it to appreciate the humor.

I saw the show - I saw the hat.
My first thought was HOW STUPID
But upon further review, when that deer was walking right next to the guy wearing the hat, I thought it was genious.

I think it is a dangerous idea but it would have its place.

Yea, it seemed like it was working. Maybe in the plains, but id not recommend it in hardwoods and brushy timber.especially with all the idiots that hunt around here where im at.

Try that on the opening day of rifle in PA and see how long you last.

I seen that show too. I could not believe how they were getting up so close!! and not realy doing much hideing. Great idea if you were hunting in BFE where no other hunters are. Not a good Idea if you dont have to fly to your hunting spot. Sure was funny!!!
