I figured this would go here in the bowhunting forum. Did antone catch bowhunter TV today? Reason I ask is there was a couple of guys on there hunting in a plains type area. These dudes were wearing deer head hats! Regular ballcaps with eyes nose and ears. They were destroying deer also! They were walking right up to them. My gosh, what do you all think about that? Good tactic?:D it's still on right noe on outdoor channel. Check it out before it goes off.

Next thing will be the MSNBC special about someone doing that and getting shot in the head by some other moron hunting the same area.
(which would eliminate some stupid genes from the pool but make he11 for the rest of us)

I saw the show - I saw the hat.
My first thought was HOW STUPID
But upon further review, when that deer was walking right next to the guy wearing the hat, I thought it was genious.

I think it is a dangerous idea but it would have its place.

Edit: Hope that doesn't mean I need thinned from the stupid pool also [8D]

Yea, it seemed like it was working. Maybe in the plains, but id not recommend it in hardwoods and brushy timber.:Despecially with all the idiots that hunt around here where im at.

I seen that show too. I could not believe how they were getting up so close!! and not realy doing much hideing. Great idea if you were hunting in BFE where no other hunters are. Not a good Idea if you dont have to fly to your hunting spot. Sure was funny!!!
