I have a few questions for ya'll. First:Can I put a loop on my bow that is set for finger shooting and use it turn it into a release bow?

Second: Does putting more dampeners and shock absorbers slow the speed down?

Third:I am not sure if I got let off down:Is it the ease of the cam to draw back into full draw? Therefore, the higher percent of let off, the easier it is to draw?

1. Yes, you can add a loop to any bow and use a trigger release instead of fingers.

2. It will only really slow the speed down if you add the dampners to the string. Limb savers, cable guarddampners etc you won't notice a decrease in performance.

3. The term used to describe the force used to draw your bow is draw force. Letoff describes your holding weight at full draw.

For example lets say you are shootingwith a50lb draw weight with 80% let off. At full draw you are only holding 10 lbs.

One thing to consider when switching from fingers to release, is you're gonna have to adjust those sights especially on a slower bow. Releasing with fingers alters the angle (ever so slight) of direction the string recoils, whereas a release is straight on (thus making a release more consisent). Also, your draw length changes (shorter) when switchingto a release. One other thing to consider is your arrow rest, not all rests are set up for both, some work better than others for finger release and vis a verse. Good luck!!!

I think you'll find the release is the way to go.

Well, the thing is, this is a bow that I got off of ebay and have not shot it yet. I am probably going to switch it to release and then sight it in.
