<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><font size=5></font id=size5><font color=green></font id=green>I was just wondering what do you do when you have to urinate while you are bowhunting?I have been trying to figure this out for a long time.No matter what I do I can't seem to not Pee while in the woods.I've tried to not drink anything for a few hours before hand and all sorts of things and I just can't keep myself from going while hunting.Is there anything anyone can say that is going to help me with this ongoing problem?

Some people say that human urine does not spook deer which makes sense I am sure that the woods stink of urine from all kinds of predators but I don't take the chance just carry an empty bottle with a screw on top and a zip lock bag the size of the bottle depends on how much of a man you are I myself use a wide mouth gatoraide bottle

I've heard tell that some scent gurus claim urine is urine - regardless of human, deer, fox, it's all pure and it's all sterile and it won't spook deer - don't know if it's true - can't afford to find out.

I ALWAYS make myself go to the bathroom right before I head to the woods. If I have to go while I am in the woods, I get down and go back to my truck to relieve myself. There are products out there that you can buy that will allow you to pee while you are on the stand. I personally would not buy this product, but to each his own. Good luck.

I don't know the answer of whether our piss effects deer. But last year during the rut, I sat in a stand all day long. Mid-day, I took a leak off the stand. I didn't see any deer come thru until the last 30 minutes of light. 5 came from the brush about 60 yds away going somewhat away from me. 2 does turned 90 degrees and made a bee-line to my stand and commenced to smell the piss. They then spent 5 minutes browsing on acorns and then proceeded to follow the others. No alertness, no snorting, nothing.
I know I've hunted Ft Bragg in NC and with GI's training and I'm sure taking a leak all over, the deer were still there. My opinion for what it's worth is, that pissing in the woods scaring deer is over-rated. (your results may vary)

I have urinated right on my tree and still the deers keep coming. I believe that the urine will not scare the deer.

From what I have read it has no effect on them, but for some reason I still don't do it near mystand location, I try to keep my area scent free, but when I leave my stand and happen to go by my friends stand, for some strange reason I always have to piss at his location when he's not there. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

I try to hold it until I climb down ,and done for that hunt. I then dig out a little hole with my boot to go in, then cover it back up. I don't know whether it effects deer or not. My brother hunts in the same woods, and urinates right out of his stand. He believes is has no effect.
