Default ? about hunting areas .

I'm a little unclear as to where I can hunt . I understand the private property thing . Can I hunt in National forest ? BLM ? public land use ? If I've got this right - I need a permit for certain areas for certain game (for big game ) . Where can I hunt small game ? I'm going to stop by the D.O.W ,,,, but right now my schedule is tight . I'm more interested in small game . I f it matters - I live in Colorado . Thanks for any help .

One of the best things you can do is stop dy DNR or I guess DOW and talk with them. They like nothing better but to help out the folks.

I've done this in the past when I had my business and I was going full time to school. My largest customer was a few driving hours away in the mountains and Ialways had my hunting stuff in my truck. I got done early at the job site, went tothe national forestand straight to DNR. They where more then happy and put me rightin the right spot. Remember these guys are out there more then anyone else so they know where the animals are.
