WYOMING ANTELOPE HUNTING-BEST PUBLIC HUNTING AREAS-HELP
I am planning to put in for a draw this year for a antelope tag in Wyoming. I have no idea where to go or what area to put in for.If anyone could help me it would be greatly appricated. I would prefer an area in the eastern part of the state. Any help would be appreciated, contact numbers or good areas to hunt. I can be e-mailed at [email protected] or you can call me at 217-826-2790
Thanks,
Clayton Bishop

I'd look at the drawing odds of the diff areas in or around the red desert, 60 is just over 8% for non res. any Antelope, 52 is like 11%, 47 is fair low also.It you don't draw you may want to look at reduced price doe/fawn tags. they are like 40$ for non res.

There are a lot of goats south of Casper to the east of Pathfinder reservoir. I believe it is area 48. There is a lot of public land and its not too far off the interstate if you're looking for a place that is easy to get to. I imagine the drawing odds should be decent because it is 100% for residents.

There are areas, where the draw is almost a for sure tag, which are good. Like the rest said, look at draw statistics, amount of public hunting land, amount of tags available, and success ratio. Take in account for them all, and you'll be into goats.

Thank you guys very much for your replies. You all have been very helpful. This will be my first antelope hunt and I am not looking for a record book goat just a decent one. I would be real happy If I could get a 12 inch buck. I just need to do a little more research on draw % and populations and hope I can draw a tag. Thanks agian
