I NEED A LITTLE ADVICE

this morning i went hunting before i went to work and saw a doe and her little one and i was wondering does that mean no rut activity is taking place in my area yet or what and another thing q i have is i have a spot a land with not much woods on it one of the section of woods has an over grown field on one side and cut soybean fields one the other and i have killed deer on the property but no bucks and i rarely see bucks but i never hardly hunt in the section of woods i described cause its so tought to get to what do you guys think does it sound good to you the woods are not real big maybe 8 to 10 acres

I agree with TexasTracker. If you are not seeing any bucks right now, you will. Once the rut kicks in hot and heavy, the bucks will be on the prowl for does, and then you will be in a hot spot. I have always been told, and also have read in magazines, you want to hunt the doe bedding areas during the rut, and it sounds like you are in the general area. You do not need a large piece of land to hunt nice deer. You just need the right habitat for the deer to live. Good Luck.
