There are some really big deer at Giles Island. I believe Giles Island may actually be under Louisiana law. Many of the islandsaround Miss. fall under La. regulations. Regardless, you may actually have a better chance to bag a trophy at Giles than in Ill. There are some monsters in Ill. though.

If you do not already have your IL bow tag, you may not be able to get one. There is a limited qty. The first signup is over and they did not sell all of them, but not many left. I would check their website www.dnr.state.il.us. Hope this helps you.
