gut shot

i shot a doe at 30 yards on sunday morn i found the arrow with all green stuff on it i looked for the blood i found some pools of blood but in all the 150 yards of blood i didnt find any green matter nuttin to prove that it was a gut shot watt does that mean i never found her ethier a buddie and i went threw the woods looking for more blood or even the deer but come up with nothing does any one now wen the rut is ganna start coming around here in central wis alright thanks

Hello.
It sounds to me like you may have hit the gall bladder just under the liver. This would most probably damage the liver enough to kill her, but she could go a ways. How long did you look for her? Did you push her right away?

i looked about 3 hours for her and i waited 5 hours to go look for her i never found a bed were she would have bedded down so wen i shot her she just kept on walking i shot her she ran 15 yards stoped looked around for 5 mins and walked away watts up with that

shoot again if the opportunity presents itself! You have made a hit that is more then likely going to kill the animal, if they hesitate and you have a clear shot, maybe not a close one but clear, its worth taking another!
