Default keller bow sight

I've been using the keller pendulum bow sight for 3 years now and so do my dad and brother... Since i've started shooting this summerI started messing around with it. I've noticed that when its unlocked it does make a loud enough sound that i can hear it whileI was shooting. LikeI saidI was messing around so let me tell you the situation. I hunt totally from treestands, thats why I bought this sight. So When I practice I shoot off the ground, and I noticed with my bow and my brothers bow that we shoot far more accurate with these sights locked off the ground then unlocked. NowI know new bows shoot faster today and this sight came out awhile ago so I dont know if that has anything to do with it. When we shot today we set targets at 5, 15, 20, 26, and 32 yards and each time we shot better with the sights locked off the ground. My brother and I both use different bow's. So my question is does anyone else use this sight and have they tried this and came out the same as us. By no means am I bashing these sights, I know alot of people that use them and love them....and they do work great i've killed alot of deer with them and so has my family, so don't get me wrong i'm not here complaining I just want to know if anyone else has found this out. Thanks alot for any comments and sorry that this is so long.

I used one of these sights for about 8 to 10 years. This sights are not meant to be accurate from the ground while unlocked. They can be locked down to be used as a fixed pin sight although you must lock it down in one of the notches so you can really lock it down exactly where you want. They are a little noisy but that never cost me a deer. I now shoot the trophy ridge site and love it and I don't have to practice off the ground all the time or worry about how high I am in the tree. They are good sights but they have tradeoffs.

Default RE: keller bow sight

I'm sorry if my post was confusing whenI meantI was doing all this shooting, I meant thatI was shooting my bow about 15 feet off the ground. When I was shooting at this height my bow was more accurate locked verse unlocked(which you are suppose to be unlocked at heights above 14 ft). Anyone that has used this sight Knows that there are notches thatyou can move for a fixed sight but you also use I think the 4th or 5th notch to sight inyour bow to use unlocked or above 14ft. Again sorry for this being so confusing.
