morning vs evening, if you had to choose

RE: morning vs evening, if you had to choose
Definately mornings, seeing the woods come alive and having the whole day ahead with no worries about anything except if you'll take a shot or just enjoy the peacefulness. Even when duck hunting I prefer mornings because you can go back to camp and clean the birds any way you want instead of just gutting them and leaving the rest for the light of the next day. I have'nt shot at a deer with my bow yet but would probably pass on most deer at the end of the day simply because I would go nuts if I couldn't find it then and had to go through the night wondering about my deer and if the coyotes were around, too much stress.

Good question, I have mixed feelings about this one. I usually see more deer in the morning, but I am not much of a morning person and it gets harder for me to get up early as the season proggreses. Hunting afternoons I feel that im more alert and can concentrate better on making a good shot. The downside however can be trying to track a deer in the dark.

My observations have been that I have around 4 good hours of hunting time in the mornings as opposed to between one or two hours in the evenings. Also without fail the LARGEST bucks I see EVERY season are spotted in the morning. When I lay eyes on a B&C whitetail it is almost always before 8:00 AM.(I've seen a few)

i have harvested deer both in the am and the pm. but i have a hard time getting out of bed if i am hunting by myself. so i would have to say it is a lot easier for me in the evening.
in my defence i work shift work so i work a different shift every week and am gennerly tired all the time. i cannot tell you how many times this year i woke up saw the leaves blowing a little or saw the groung a little wet and went back to bed. it is ashame because i have an awsome morning stand.

evening for sure. I've taken all but a couple of my deer in the evenins. I think it depends on your stand placement. there's
mornin stands, and evenin stands.
plus, that's when i do most of my huntin(evenin)<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
