Default to late for minerals?

Ive got a spot I hunt alot that has plenty of ag fields around. I've been pretty busy and havnt had time to put out mineral supplements. Think it's worth puttin some out still?

Mineral use is heaviest during Spring to mid Summer , but they've already begun sprouting their antlers . If the forage base is as good as those ag fields suggest I wouldn't waste the money , they're getting plenty of protein and minerals already . If you have neighbors who do that it's probably a waste of money anyway .

Last year alone I had over a 1000 pics of deer on minerals till Sept. It is still worth putting them out. Put your Cam out and see how many deer will still use the Minerals in June/July/August you will be really surprised.

Yea I have minerals at a spot closer to my home and i get 2-5 deer a day visiting it... The biggest reason i want to put them out is so i get some good hits on my camera. I'll probably head down there the begginning of next week or this weekend. The only problem is i need to buy another camera.. Ive got two that are at other different properties...I guess its not a "problem" just an excuse for another one

Keeps em coming to your property for a little something extra. Consider it like dessert after eating in the ag fields!

I don't think it is too late to put then out. Especially if you are doing it for the wellness of the herd. The minerals should help the does recovery from giving birth, and it will help the fawns. It may not have 100% impact on this years antler growth, but it will still help.

Deer will still hit it where I live all year long so if your looking to get pics, attract deer, or even get them coming to it for next year I say put it out.

I concur.

You need to buy yourself another trail cam and some mineral blocks.
