My first bow was and old Fred Bear Whitetail had 6 pulleys and a steel cable that was back in 1978 and it was used for $35.00 with a half dozen arrows sights quiver and a finger Tab. I kept that bow until 1989 and I went all out and bought a used Pearson Roge for $100.00 and used that fancy bow (and killed many deer with it until 1996 I really blew the wad and bought a $540.00 (All set up with arrows)PSE thunderbold brand new out of the box. Man I was the cats tits with that. And I used it last year and would have used it this year If a friend didn't have his 2003 Maathews up for sale. So for $250.00 I went ahead and bought the Mathews all set up I'm even using the new fance carbon arrows with it. I bet I have killed 30 deer with a bow even that old slow moving whitetail cause ya know what? Even that slow moving arrow moves quicker then a deer . So theres over 30 years of bow hunting and all less then what some guys spend on just one bow. I find as long as you have fun thats really all that matters in the end. Good Luck keep shooting and have fun Mike

I just bought a PSE Thundersbolt this year, in January, and have taken my first turkey already with it and am looking forward to deer season this year and taking a nice one with it.

I've had a Nova for about 12 years. This week, I just bought a new bow. The Nova is going to be a backup. It's killed a lot of deer for me, at least 1 per year. Was a great bow over the years. Now it's time to turn my Switchback XT loose!

Here's my buck with my Nova, from last year.
