Default Monster Bucks XIV

The latest installment of the Realtree Monster Bucks series became available last week and I ordered both of them. When you ignore much of the commercialism of it there is some good entertainment there. They did away with the 3D shooting competition this year and instead just have Bill, Michael, and David walking around one of the hunting conventions showing hunting celebrities little video clips of the Monster Bucks videos on a portable DVD player.

The hunts are better though in my opinion as there are more bowhunts and more footage beyond just the kill shot. I was also pleasantly surprised to see more pop-up ground blind hunting in the videos as well.

..and, yes, for you Tiffany Lakosky fans..she takes two nice bucks.

Just thought I would pass my experience/opinion on to you folks.

I pulled an old Monster Bucks video out of the archives two nights ago, and after watching those ridiculous 3D competitions with Jeff Foxworthy and his sidekick, I realized why I quit buying those and started shifting my video budget to Primos and others.

Thanks for the update.

Ah, come on Greg. You didn't find T-bone even remotely funny? He makes an extremely brief appearance on this edition but only in helping to trail a deer......looks like he lost alot of weight.

Maybe remotely. The first time I saw him, but he got old pretty quickly.

If they had invested that time into showing how and why they chose their setups, it would have been time better spent... Wait, we're talking about Bill Jordan here... Never mind; I'm sure he didn't know how and why they chose their setups, either.

No, I have not data other than the fact that they are sold in every Wally*World in the country. They are top 3 in sales regardless.

In-regard to they're camo, save you're money and buy a drab-green coverall. Realtree looses all of it's detail past about 10 ft. and turns into a blob!

I have my 6th grade Teachers Assistant sitting here with me, while I amon my prep hour here at school. He asked a few daysagoif he could bring a video in, while we worked on correcting papers and such. Not during class time but during my preperation hour time. I said sure, sohe brought in Monster bucks X111.

I thoughtit would be interesting toquote him as we watched, (remember I didn't prompt him in anyway) I asked him after words if he cared if I shared his comments here. Hesaid no problem. He made the followingcomments to me, today, while watching the Monsterbucks x111

"that hunting makes me jealous, I wish I could hunt those places, I wish I could get deer like that"

"I like seeing those huge bucks get killed." "its entertaining"

"I think its harder to hunt here, than what I see on tv"

"Usually what you see on tv is hunting ranches, up here you hunt public ground"

"it makes me want to get out there and go shoot a whitetail like the ones on Monsterbucks."

So guys, can we gather anything from a 6th graders comments? How does the media reflect hunting as a whole to our youth?
