Default Broadhead for turkeys

I plan on going out with the bow for turkeys this year. I havethe mechanical NAP spitfires and thunderhead broadheads. I'm shooting around 62#'s. Should I use the expandables or fixed broadheads on turkeys?

Everything that I have read says mechanicals. When going through the bird, they cut a bigger diameter hole, making the bird drop faster. The broadheads don't cut as big as a diameter, making the bird run for a longer distance, meaning you track for a longer distance!

Expandables, keep the arrow in the bird and make the biggest cut possible.

I killed 3 last fall with g5 montecs. You probably already know this but don't just aim for that big black blob pick out a spot just as you would on a deer. I shoot just above the back legs and they usually fall right there. I have had to go hand to hand combat with them though on occasion. Dont try that though unless your up for the challenge because they can knock you silly with them feet.

I was just down at the local proshop and he showed me a video of the Gobbler Gillatine and wow!!! The first bird in the pic was decapatated and others were very close. All shots are to be taken at the head/neck for best effectiveness and they blades are around 2" each. I don't know if I really like them but the video was impressive although it made for a poor picture afterwards with a turkey lying there with no head[:-]
