Default Wife's first shots

I finally got around to getting my wife's bow set up for her. She inherited my Alpine Impact X-treme. We had the limbs changed from 60-70lbs to 40-50lbs. It has the weight set at 38lbs and she still has some trouble drawing but she is willing to practice and work out. Anyway, I got things roughed in and we headed for the back yard. I did a pretty good job at setting the peep and sight for her. Two of her first five shots were in the X ring. She was only shooting from 10yds but so what. If you could have seen the look of victory on her face! I think a new archer has been created. I really wish I'd done this sooner since she enjoyed herself so much. How long before I have to let her buy a new bow?

That's great to hear that txrookie. In just the past few days my wife has expressed great interest in archery, she even wanted to buy one while at Cabela's. I have a neighbor that has a PSE that's set up for his wife that no longer shoots and might get her to try that. She has been a great wife after all these years and has always enjoyed all sorts of hunting, though with firearms and has supported me.

Just goes to show ya that there is always hope!

TX.....Congratulations on getting your wife involved......we need more ladys! The only problem is that it is sooooo addictive. I'm 20 feet up from Sept. 15th through Jan. 15th. As much as possible! My husband says I should seek professional help when deer season is over. Thus......Mom With/Severe Whitetail Disorder
Good luck to her and good job to you....
