THE YEARLING WAS THE KEY TO THE WHOLE THING. WHY DID I KILL IT. POINT BLANK THE FIRST 2 DEER I GET A SHOT AT DIE AND GO IN THE FREEZER....... AND IT WAS THE FIRST DEER THAT I HAD THE WARM AND IT WAS THE FIRST ONE THAT GAVE ME THE SHOT THAT I LIKED. I PRIDE MISELF FOR HAVE NEVER LOST A DEER ( THAT REQUIRES A LOT OF SELF CONTROL) AND THE YEARLING WAS THE FIRST DEER THAT I GOT THE WARM AND FUZZY FEELING FOR AND I STILL THOUGHT I MISSED IT. BUT GOOD FORTUNE FOUND HIM DEAD WITHOUT LOOKING. NOT THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE. BESIDES YEARLINGS TASTE GOOD AND THIS ONE SKINNED LIKE A RABBIT. NICE AND EASY DID NOT EVEN REALLY NEED A KNIFE BUT TO GET IT STARTED.

Congrats, but no need to yell. I hardly think you need to preach self control to many bowhunter, we know what your talking about.
I think some and myself included refrain from shooting yearlings, especially the smaller ones withy mom. I don't look down my nose at you, just a pesonal choice. (each his own)
Again congrats on the freezer full and yum yum to follow.
