I started getting tired of having to run back and forth to the pro shop to get my arrows refletched, so I ordered a Bitzenburger fletching jig & some other supplies from Cabelas the other day.

I ordered the Bohning 4" "Stealth" vanes, because this looks similar to what the pro shop has been putting on my arrows.

I will be using the Straight clamp with the jig. I want to try helical, but I will wait until after hunting season to experiment.

What brand do you that shoot vanes prefer and for what reasons ?

Not wanting to hear about how I need to swap to feathers, either. I actually started out using feathers and got tired of the problems with rain with them - even after using feather-dri...I will stay out in the rain, as long as the wind is not too high and there is no lightening, so the vanes serve me better.

I like bohning vanes the best! But I have used others when I make my arrows. I like Easton vanes also! Mainly use bohning though!!!
