Interesting Cam Pics After Season
Hey guys I had been wanting to share these pics for a while. These were taken about 100 yds from my back door. This buck had already lost his horns. Haven't found his sheds yet. Just wondering about how long he may survive in his condition. I think some young kids may have taken pot shot and wounded him. Too bad, right? Have you guys ever seen one from your stand?

It looks completely healed over to me, but look at the way his hips bones stick out. He has obviously lost some weight. But if it is healed, maybe he will start the recovery. Any idea what happened? Keep that camera up!
I really want to see what the opposite side of his rack looks like next year if he makes it!!

Yeah purple, and look at the scars on his side. I wonder sometimes if maybe he got caught up in a fence or something. Or maybe he's had to fight alot because of his handicap.

I agree he'll be fine. My cousin killed a buck with the same exact leg missing a few years ago. The leg was completely healed over and the buck was chasing a doe! His antlers were all crazy though, we estimated him to be 3.5,they are the most resilient animals in nature IMO

Yes, I have the same thing in my backyard. I think he was hit by a car, notice the big scare on his back.
Here is the buck October of 04 hot on a doe....
Here is a picture in May of 05
and October of 05, hot on the trail of a doe.
I had him within 20 yards twice during archery and could never get a shot.

That's pretty cool. A few years back I shot a 10ptr with a leg just like that. He was running when I shot him, and I didn't notice his leg was missing until I went to field dress him.
