Bison Hunt Pics

Equipment list
Bow: Tried and true Hoyt Vortec Saber cam 29.5" draw @ 74lb
Rest: Origional Trophy Taker. I have had it on there for years.
Arrow: 29" Beaman ICS Hunters 340 shafts crested weighing in at 460grtraveling 270fps.
Broadhead: Rocky Mountain Ironhead 125 heads. I have used a bunch of heads, but always seem to come back to this head. Strong, Accurate, and scary sharp.

If I run the numbers right I am getting 74 ft-lb of KE. I had PLENTY of punch to get the job done. I tell you there was nothing like seeing that arrow disappear into the cheast of one of these beasts. Every time I close my eyes I can see it.
MNpurple: Much of the land they were in was rolling hills so you can use the terain for cover. I found them in the flats, as you said I was lucky the river was close by for cover.
deerhunter518 ahh...no
Double Creek To be honest with you I have no idea. I was in it for the meat, and found an opertunity to hunt and take one with my bow and I was all over it. I have really never taken any "trophy" animals, but I have taken alot of trophy meat home in my hunting exploits.

Thanks AC..... I've been interested in doing a hunt for buff, but most the hunts available are really meat gatherings as opposed to actually hunting... There is nothing wrong with either, I just want to know up front what I'm getting in to.
Thanks and congrats on an awesome animal!!!

Wow those are some massive animals. Those are great pics man and a great story to go with it. Congratulations on that. I can't believe how large those animals actually are. I've always wanted to hunt free-ranging bison. Congrats on the hunt man. That's pretty cool.
