I guess the heart is edible but what about the liver? What do they do with all the guts from those, I'm sure it adds up quite a bit over a year, ormaybe they sell it to the, "Slim Jim factory"?

Hey awesome story and great pictures.

It sounds like you hunt was fairly easy. Them being by the river and being able to use the cut banks. Now, had they not been along the river, what kind of a hunt would it have been? That looks like very open country to put a stalk on, or do they not have very good eyesight? Do they use trails and such or what was your strategy going to be had you not been fortunate enough to find them in such an accesible spot? This hunt is very interesting to me, but I am thinking the quickness of your hunt may be the exception, or no?

Good work, and would love to get names and other info from you.

You look like a pretty good size ole boy, why didn't you just throw that bad boy up on your shoulder and walk back to camp?Nice pics. Thats alot of meat for sure.
