Default ALMOST HIT A DOE........ON MY BICYCLE!!!

I was riding my bike on a back road that goes by where my stand is and I top a hill and see a doe at the bottom of the hill in a bean field. Across the road is an uncut corn field and she wanted in that corn. Well, I thought she seen me coming so I kept going down the hill at a high rate of speed looking around for other deer in the fields and when I look back in front of me, the doe is running across the road and I had to hit both front and rear brakes to avoid hittin her I mean I was about one foot from slammin into her. She crosses and gets into the gap between the corn and the fence and looks back at me and we had a stare down as I tried to get my heart started again.

Yall who think nearly hittin one in a car is bad.......TRY IT ON A BICYCLE

My wife almost hit one a couple of months ago. We have a bike path near our house and there are alot of deer in the area. I always caution my kids about not riding too fast for this very reason. We had rode past a few deer, and when we returned later to the same area a couple of them had moved very close to the bike path. All of a sudden two deer ran across the path about 10ft in front of my wife. It was kind of funny because they were having a hard time getting traction on the asphalt. I enjoy riding there just to see if I can see any deer, unfortunatly no hunting allowed.

My son almost hit one a few years ago when he was riding his bike around the lake near here. He zagged and the little buck zigged and ran headfirst into the fence along the highway. Killed the dear dead! We called the law to get a salvage tag. The cop is looking at the dead deer and all he says is "Tell me one more time how this happened???????" This almost accident happened at a great time because we were out of venison. Jim
