i am looking at a box of broken/bent arrows from over the last couple of years. a lot of them look good still, as in the fletchings or just small cracks in the shafts. just wondering what you folks do with yours when you break them. anything clever? or do you just stare at them like me?

Broken arrows are great for yardage markers.Stick them in the ground at 10-20 yard distances in different locations.Really takes the guess work out of the range when the time comes to let one fly.
Also as yardage markers,if the nocks are still good and you use attracting scents,stick a cotton ball or gun cleaning swab in the nock with your favorite scent,works great.
I am sure you will hear alot more ideas

P.S---also makes great tomato stakes for the garden[&:]

i went to a shop awhile back and he had some pens made so ive been trying to make pens out of the broke arrows there pretty cool

If all thats wrong is the fletchings , get yourself a jig & re- fletch them; I'ts not hard at all.
Itakemy broken shafts & cut them down to "little man" size for my son.

I make pens use them for decoy standsand i tryed making darts but i bet you can guess how that went

If I shot a deer with them I retire the arrow andput it on the wall with the others,only problem is after a while they really add up. I take the bent or broken ones and cut them down to use as a plug for my shotgun for when you can only use 3 shots. I also do the pen thing cut them down and take a stick pen and some hot glue and stick theim in the shaft, Mike
