If I shot a deer with them I retire the arrow andput it on the wall with the others,only problem is after a while they really add up. I take the bent or broken ones and cut them down to use as a plug for my shotgun for when you can only use 3 shots. I also do the pen thing cut them down and take a stick pen and some hot glue and stick theim in the shaft, Mike
