Default Broadhead Question

Anyone here ever use the German Kinetic Silverflames or the Simmons Land Shark broadheads? I hunt whitetails and I'm thinking about both. I'm also thinking about Slick Tricks. Have never heard anything bad about the ST's. Would like some input from someone with firsthand experience with the other two. Thanks.

I recently bought the Slick Tricks 100 grain and they do fly like field
tips. I haven't had the chance to try them on a deer yet. I used to
be strictly a Thunderhead 100's fan but that changed when I tried
the Slick Tricks. They seem to be very well made and the blades are
sharp and replaceable, also they are 4 bladed. I do not have any
experience with the other broadheads you asked about.

I have tested all three heads and have full reviews on my website. All are good heads, but very differnt. Silverflames are the finest made heads I have ever seen, but very expensive, slick tricks are one of the most accurate, and the simmons heads cut one heck of a hole.

Dparsons....not to sound rude or mean or anything...but i think the money goes to paying for the website...and the heads....the heads are pretty pricey and add up...expecially when shooting steel drums ect....good info if your looking for a good head.....

So you would expect him to put forth the personal time, wear and tear on his personal equipment, use his own arrows, purchase the broadheads and the materials that he shoots through out of his own pocket, pay for and maintain the web site, etc... etc... and after all of that expect not to have to pay admission. I guess you don't expect to pay a pro shop to charge for their services either.

Now that's really sad!!!!!!!!!!!! [:'(]

And yes I mean this to sound down right rude cause 5shot does a dang good job at testing all of the broadheads that come out every single year and puts a lot of time and effort into every single one of his reviews and for you to tell him what you did is totally uncalled for!

Buckhtr77, I have not ever seen the silver flames but everything I have ever heard about them has been absolutely 100% positive. The land sharks are great broadheads but I am not fond at all about how the bleeder blades are retained in these. I shoot 125 grain slick tricks and companies would be hard pressed to come out with a better broadhead at a reasonable cost. They are amazingly accurate and cut huge holes on both sides of the deer.

D.ParsonsI am sorry you feel that way, but I had to make a choice, stop the testing all together or charge for some of the info. I offer a lot for free and will continue to do so. It does cost a lot of money to buy heads, arrows, vanes and test materials and products. I then have to keep the equipment in good working order, refletching arrows takes a lot of my time all by it'self. Web hosting space is not free either. I could try to get sponsers, but that could compromise the testing and product reviews. The subscribers keep the sight going for everyone. I don't make much at all really and just about every penny goes back into the site one way or another.

5 Shot !

Don't worry about having a fee to keep your site up and running ,I for one think that you spend more time producing top quality review's that it's well worth it for every hunter to pay a small fee than to buy a product that they don't like .Your doing a great service for all of us ,so keep up the good work and keep those review's coming .I agree with Bigbull's again 100%.Thank's for setting us straight .
