It's been almost a week of bowseason and I've yet to lay my eyes on a buck!! Actually I've only seen doe walking to and from my stand. Nothing while on stand. Is this part of the October lull I've heard about. I've done plenty of scouting and have good stand locations with all kinds of signs of bucks in the area. I must be the most scent free human on the planet. I've done dark to dark hunts everyday so far. ?????????????????. I know...patience (right?). Someone send some deer towards central NY please!!

I hunt in Pa. and have not seen alot of buck yet either but things are changing as they always do nearing the end of october. The last time out I finally saw a couple buck. They are just beginning the cruising stage and making scapes. It will only get better every day now!!!!!!

They are sneaking around in the dark right now. As October gives way to November they will not be able to contain themselves and they become vulnerable. Don't "burn out" yourself and/or your sites just yet. Of course I'm sure your already aware of all this so I am just preaching to the choir as they say.

the best hunting is in December anyway.
