d parsons, you'll be much better off in life if you never read another word dave nowlin writes. and never, ever, ever, try any of his suggestions for tuning a bow.
I can be the judge of my own things in life! I was not talking about tunning a bow to begin with. All I was trying to show was that any one that comes in and throws his weight around to do something to benifit hisself IS WORTHLESS in my book!As I said before this is showing CHARACTER!!

I pretty much gave up on Jimmy whenhe got arrested in Illinois a couple years back. He shot a nice buck with his bow and used a firearm tagto tag it.
Sorry when your a person in his position you need to watch your actions. And IMO he just dug his own grave..............

I agree with Arthur on this one.
I'll sign the petition when someone can show proof that he used any footage from that place in any of his hunting videos.
Is it possible that he chose not to shoot because he knew it was wrong?
For now ,(for me anyway)he's only guilty of being stupid enough to step behind that fence to begin with.
I'd really like to hear his side of the story before hanging the man.

that's reasonable bowfanatic, and from the person who's first post was here to defend his drinking, i think he may know about this - so come on out and tell us.
and he did step behind that fence and then climb the tree, and was looking for the shot. when he stepped through that gate the crime was already committed, and he'd made the decision in his mind - and that's what is so sick about it. he got off by testifying, he rolled because he was caught on tape to save his own butt. so on top of everything else - he's a rat.

he did not use the video for any show as far as i know but he did post the pictures on his web site saying it was a fair chase hunt and before he took the picture off his web site yesterday you could see it was in a open field.not the pen where it was shot,
Is that correct?
If it is , in all fairness , you should include a list of many others who "represent" us hunters by way of hunting videos , and even their own hunting shows.
You said he had pictures of a deer shot ,"in a field" ,on his web site. Was it the same buck from the video?

Jimmy Houston was busted in Pike County Illinois in the fall of 1999 for shooting a deer before he purchased a permit. He was hunting with an outfitter. Case 1999CV126 DEER HUNTING PERMIT VIOLATION Class B Misdemeanor, he plead guilty and paid a $75 fine.
