Default Speed vs quietness, what's your priority? (Poll added)

I prefer a quiet bow. I may give up speed but it's worth it to me. I still shoot 265 fps which is plenty fast enough. My bow is extremely quiet. My hunting partner on the other handlikes speed. His motto is speed kills. If he is not shooting 300 fps or more it just won't cut it. Of course his bow is louder than mine. What are your thoughts?

I want quiet speed ... that's why I've got a Tribute and an Allegiance coming!

QUIET, I only shoot 220. That's with my Outback. 2117 arrowsand 125gr. Muzzys. I don't shoot past 25yards so I don't think it matters.

The speed of sound is a lot faster than any bow made. I would rather have quiet. I believe the bow I shoot has the best of both worlds.

My Outback that I sold on Ebay last week was a 60# draw...but got 271fps...absolutely silent. Overall though, I'm truely a silent shooter over speed.

Like posted above, arrow speeds aren't even half of the speed of sound...so what's the difference ofa 310fps arrow and 270fps in reality? Basically nothing. It's all perception and marketing ploy.

I like it quiet with a little @ss behind it. My switchback is set up for quiet and it is fast enough for me.

Quiet.

I've been around a lot of quiet compounds. So quiet all you can hear from a distance is the metallic CLICK of the mechanical release cutting loose (what a noisemaker THAT is!). But none are anywhere near as quiet as my longbow.
