RE: Matthews Oweners??
Any Mathews is a great bow. I love my SQ2, but its to short to shoot tournement with so i bought a legacy also and love it. If you want a smooth and acurate bow go with any of the Q series or the legacy. My two cents.

I shoot the Q2. I love it! I kind of wish I would have waited a year and got the Legacy. At the time my first choice was actually the q2xl but I got a good deal on the q2.
Have fun trying them out.

65% FX
It's the only bow I've ever owned so I have no comparision.
But I love it. Accurate & I'm told quiet - but what do I know.......

Either Mathews is great. Been through many over the years and the Q series is by far the quietest and smooooothest yet. They are out of the box quiet but you can even silence them more with some "Limb Saver" accessory buttons. The bows come with a set back rest that has a shelf (aluminum vented)that produces a low pitch tuning fork type sound upon release. A lot of folks don't hear it but every bow with this rest does it. Attach one of the Limb Saver accessory buttons on the out-board side of the vented shelf and problem solved.

Henley,
The one that goes unmentioned!!!....the ICON.
This is one of Matthews bows that folks are missing out on because I think the shops are not carrying it. The Icon is a whole different bow compared to all other single cams. The force draw curve and "feel" is similar to a dual cam bow. No sharp drop off with the Icon like other single cam bows. Personally thats the problem I never quite liked with single cams even though I owned one. I've never shot a smoother more forgiving bow than the Icon. I will have this bow for many years to come.

Q2XL or a Q2 I did'nt like the legacy . The bow that goes in the woods with me this year will be a q2 , same as last year its quiet accurate and fast enough . An mq1 of fx would not be a bad choice either .

My advice is shoot as many bows you can get your hands on and buy the one that is the most comfortable. For me it was the SQ2.
I use to shoot an HCA Ultra, which I have handed down to my son. I had every type of silencer on that bow and it was still loud. I don't use any silencer on the SQ2. Monday I shot at a buck and missed. Certainly not the bow's fault but mine since I rushed the shot. All the deer heard was the arrow strike the ground. He looked around and kept sneaking through the woods. The second buck, the larger of the two was sneaking behind him. I nailed him at 20 yards. This is, without a doubt, the quietest bow I have ever shot.
