I am new to the huntingnet community and am, thusfar, enjoying the info and forums. I would like to set up a trail camin my NORTHERN WISCONSIN hunting area during Dec/early Jan. My question is, will the batteries last long enough to take photos, or am I dreaming. I have not used a cam tracker during late season, so any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know what kind of batteries your cam uses, but NMH - recharables work better in the cold than NiCads. I've got a Moultree with a 6 volt lantern battery (alkaline-nonrechargable) and I get 2-3 weeks out of the battery so far. (I'm in Northern Wi also so I know it gets cold) I'd like to get a rechargable for mine but all I can find is lead acid for the 6v lantern battery, and I know that doesn't keep a charge in the cold, but maybe it would work.
