Default one mor for the hoyt but still no horns !!!!!!

tonight was a bit nippy here in southwestern PA. I settled into my stand about 5 because my mom decided to take me for xrays on my elbow and the wait was unbearible as i watched the clock . Neways about 6 the deer jsut started to pour in but only one came close enough for a shot. I ranged her at about 22 yards and drew and settled the pinon the crease in the shoulder. My hoyt MT sport shoots extremely fast on 55 pounds ( I can shoot more but for ease in the stand I shot a low poundage) but nehow she moves just as i go to hit the trigger and I am lucky I didnt. I had put out Bob Kerchiners curiousity scent before my hunt and she was coming in right on the trail, as she came into an opening and a branch covered her head i drew once more and placed the pin in the same spot and let fly. My beeman ICS 400 tipped with 100 grains rocket hammerheads found a nice spot to tuck in . Unfortuneatly that spot was in the spine. last year i had the same shot on a button buck in the same stand . I guess i jsut didnt componsate for the deer being so close and when she ducked it nailed the spine. Neways i got down and she was done with .

When i skinned her out at home her opposite side that i hit looked like it was hit with a semi. wut happened is the razor sharp hammerhead broke the spine , got the one lung , and then broke about 5 rips on the opposite side. If my computer wasnt such a POS i would put soem picks of the hole on the post but unfortuneatly my comp is slow ad malasses.

Thanx for readin my story and have a safe and fun filled time hunting the rest of this season. I'll be sure to let you all no if i get a buck with my bow for the first time.

take your kids hunting and fishing.

Congrats on the doe. Any deer with a bow is a trophy. The horns will come. Hope that elbow doesn't bother your deer season.

Good huntin'
